Development of special rotary machines
More than thirty years of experience in the research and development of rotary machinery allows us to meet the high-quality requirements not only for space applications. We design rotary machines with synchronous motors, including design and subsequent measurement of bearing parameters and dynamic seals. We perform special torque and power measurements at high speeds. We test bearing dynamics, develop motor power inverters, and explore the possibilities of applying SiC technology in power electronics.
HSEC – ELECTRICAL HIGH-SPEED PERMANENT MAGNET SYNCHRONOUS MOTOR DRIVE
Motor drives developed by Sobriety are operated using our custom or commercially available inverters. The machine features a precisely balanced rotor with buried magnets which are mechanically encapsulated to achieve extreme speeds. The rotor is supported by radial and axial bearings of a proprietary design which are fully dynamic and in most cases operate directly with the machine operational fluid. These fluid dynamic bearings allow effective operation of the machine at extremely high speeds without the need of secondary lubrication.
